Teaching at BC

Since Fall 2017, with the training and support from Bellevue College and my education for my Masters of Education in Learning and Technology at Western Governor’s University, I have been providing professional instruction for job readiness within the video games industry. With a focus on design and technology, students create unique games from scratch in our Digital Media Arts track at BC.

Learning Environment at Bellevue College

Classrooms seat aproximately 30 students and each station has a computer graphics ready PC loaded with software licenses for all relevant programs. Software licenses including the Adobe Suite, Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, Unity, Pixologic ZBrush, Substsnce Painter, Substance Designer, and 3DS Max are provided on site in the classroom and are available for download on a student’s personal digital workstation. We also provide DMA students a separate computer lab open 8am - 9pm most days with reduced hours on the weekends. DMA 298 is taught as a hybrid online and onsite.

Digital Media Arts at Bellevue

As a Digital Media Arts Instructor at Bellevue College, along side talented industry professionals, I provide professional career training for the community that hosts headquarters to Microsoft, Valve, Google, and Amazon among other technology industry giants and small studios alike. Bellevue’s inclusivity statement brings adult learners of all ages, from already working professionals to running start students. In the game design track specifically, there are higher enrollments for neuro diverse students, LGTBQA, POC, and folks from varied backgrounds of all skill levels.
